Met an architect.

I met an architect who works for a big firm in Chicago. He looked a little bit tired and said "architect is just like a typical office worker even though people think architect as an artist or something special person. They go to office and draw line and go home."

Yes, he is right for some architects, but I still want to be an artist as an architect not an office worker.

Stress

Everybody has stress on his work and life. Yes, architectural job is one of the most stressful profession in the world.

In my life, as usual, stress factor is everywhere. Changing employer, having and raising a baby, taking license exam, etc. However, that is life. If you break thru all of these stress, you will be called as a successful architect. Yes, just do it.

p.s. I don't know what I wrote above. Yes, life is not easy, man.

Architect and life

His cartoon shows architect's life. As you know, architects work hard with comparatively lower paycheck. Architect's design is not realize because of various reasons. Which means, sometimes, architect's labor and work is not paid. They work for nothing.

On the other hand, architects have dream and vision for better space, life and environment. His cartoon introduce the life of architect.

Artificial Window

Philips made artificial daylight window with their LCD(or Plasma. I don't know which one they used) screen. It looks like real window and interacts with people's motion. However, it uses more electricity and doesn't have warmness and coziness. I like real window!
